Buddha's Day & Multicultural Festival
Role: Event Coordinator (venue).
Event Management (client): Buddha’s Light International Association of Victoria
What: A free public 3-day festival to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday and multiculturalism in Victoria. The festival included stage performances, workshops, market stalls, prayers and offerings, with the major feauture of the event being a lighting, sound and fireworks show that told Buddha’s story. Event coordination of contractors (AV, Security, Cleaning, Venue team, Marquee, Electricians, Water, Staging, First Aid), worked with client to develop event plans (timings, site map, bump in/out), stakeholder management and community engagement (Fed Square tenancies, state services, neighbours) & briefing of wider Fed Square team.
